Murray Hill is largely a residential neighborhood containing renovated, luxury condos with plenty of amenities, large prewar buildings, and even historic brownstones tucked away in a central part of the city that is free from the congestion or noise of other areas. Despite its serene environment, the neighborhood remains close to key amenities, such as the restaurants of Midtown and Chelsea; Murray Hill also harbors its own nightlife and shopping scene.
